# Review a Clause
Reviewing a clause records whether your RTO currently meets the requirement and when you'll check it again.

## When to Use This
* After checking your policies and evidence against a clause
* When auditors ask how you monitor compliance
* To schedule periodic reviews of each clause

## Steps
1
**Open the clause**
Go to [**Standards**](https://app.rtosafe.com.au/Criteria/ChooseStandard), select your standard set, and click the clause you want to review.

**Click Review**
In the **Compliance Status** section, click **Review** (or **Review Again** if it's been reviewed before).

**Record your findings**
Choose whether action is required:
* **No** — The clause is met and no changes are needed
* **Yes** — There are gaps or issues that need addressing
If action is required, describe what needs to happen in the **Findings** field.

**Set a next review date**
Choose when you'll review this clause again. RTOSafe creates a task to remind you.

**Save**
Click **Submit** to record the review.

## What Happens Next
* The clause status updates to **Reviewed** (green) or **Action Required** (red)
* A review task is created for the next review date
* Your review history is saved — you can expand **Review Details** to see past reviews
If you marked a clause as needing action, you can create a Continuous Improvement to track the work.

## Common Issues
Can't find the Review button
Scroll to the **Compliance Status** section on the clause details page
Previous reviews not showing
Click **Expanded Review Details** to see the full review history
